Diwali bonus @ EY ?

What is Ex- gratia credited in this months salary at EY ? I heard people saying it is Diwali bonus , do non Indian corporates give out Diwali bonus ? ?

Diwali bonus in my company is usually a sweet box which will have 5 variety of sweets each one. This time i don't think we will get even that

Ex gratia by the means of it is the amount company pays you for all the deductions you didnt claim like phone bills, travel to office etc unless your pay slip says "diwali bonus" explicitly. 😂
