Trending @Infosys; Disciplinary actions for WFO non compliance?

Any one faced disciplinary action for non compliance to WFO policy themselves or heard or seen some one else face it. What is the extent of it? I have serious health issues in family but manager is not accepting it, he does not respond to teams msg. On personal teams call he insulted me, made inhumane derogatory remarks, used foul language ( gali ) I should have called on phone and recorded but I didn't anticipated this in my worst dreams. Till now he was approving my exceptional WFH but he will reject from now on. I have WFH balance in days per month. I know I can take my case to dm and hr , but I fear I will get no support. I really need to know what is the general action which is being taken, and what is the extent of max action which can be taken against me.

I suggest leaving Infosys. The company is not good for employees. They just care about their own reputation and profits.

The employees can die and they'll just replace you with no tears shed.

There will be no resolution for your situation.

It is the culture of Infosys.

Call again on teams put it on speaker, then do the same thing that triggered him to abuse you, record it then post it on LinkedIn or here or reach out to memes pages

Then lose job and suffer 🤨. The best way is to provide evidence to HR for action ,any external interference will effect his job.

Doubt it's gonna happen again, cause he must have lost his cool out of frustration but will be careful , these toxic managers play smart and only call to avoid getting caught.

I did not face the gali and all but I was treated as an outcast cause I had to take leaves frequently due to medical emergency in my 2 nd year of joining infosys as a fresher. That is why I left infosys.

Actually I told them that I am leaving for masters to US. But I had no such plan. Once you put in your resignation they just need you to record KT sessions and all that stuff. That pretty much it

Bro your manager already approved your work from home exceptions till date Suddenly company has changed their policy and everyone should follow this. Your manager can’t help you until you are showing valid proof. You will get exceptions if you have serious health issue yourself only not for parents. My suggestion is better to check HR.

Totally valid point , manager can't just violate company policies set by higher ups, however the insulting part is not justifiable if done with intent.

Yes I acknowledge the approval of exceptional WFH till now. Project mate has got exceptional wfh approval due to his fathers serious health issues . And many got their req rejected even after having serious conditions themselves. Getting exception is dependent more on luck than logic. After this convo with mgr, i think my chances are slim. Still I will try for it n chk with hr.

I started recording every meeting after that, but I don't think he will use those words again.

You can reach out to BPHR,even for your exceptional WFH you need HR approval in general, drop an email to HR with medical reports and your concerns , cc your manager and DM, if your manager try to influence ask him to reply to email ,in most cases HR will approve provided you have valid medical reports.

To answer the first part ,you might be asked to provide the reason and approvals for non -compliance and HR will act accordingly,I heard a few people receiving the mail asking for show cause.

Thanks for answering first part. I will follow ur advice to get exceptional approval from dm n hr.

i had similar experience facing a derogatory and personal comment. Took it upto HR through mail. Btw, mostly nothing will happen. HRs will side with managers. I was said that that the manager is sensitised so that he will not do it with other employees. Thats it. You dont even get apology from the manager. And eventually ull end up in the blacklist of manager 🙂

Yeah, I haven't completed my minimum no. of WFO days, also for 3 months straight I worked from home and raised no exception. However, my terms with my line manager are good but in your case, its just opposite. I think, unless someone or your manager files a complaint against you, no action will be taken

My colleague had ACL surgery..they were we can max give you 2 weeks extra.

I was shocked. They must understand what ACL injury is. You are unable to walk to the toilet to take piss.

And these people want you to come to the office.

They will not hear your case. You have to take LOP only for the days you put your attendance.

And all you will hear is that this is the decision of upper management and we can't do anything

This is why I think I will not get approval. This is why my question was - what are the consequences.
