Disciplinary action
Hello guys I want to know what disciplinary action HR could take against people on bench ?
@FrustratedTCSeR - We have some openings but it's for DE, ur role won't fit. However this is my suggestion, try to confidently lie. Be it to your manager or client, the confidence only comes when u watch the videos and practice recitation. For example, u say, I have built machine learning model and achieved 84% accuracy and improved it's performance by hyper parameter tuning, now how do u know which model and what hyper parameter tuning is?
Just do google, what are some ML models, what is hyper... Soon u will find urself leaning and your lie is no longer a lie. Ofcourse u don't have hands on, but u have the theory so if client asks what parameters u used to improve the accuracy u will be able to answer because u learned about it.
Bro, the key is to stay curious and start small, and stay consistent, FYI - I have 5+ years of experience and most of the time I can't do good coding, or feel like I don't know many things, but I start with basic google search, one youtube video, if it's gets me hooked I see 4 youtube videos and i imagine myself having worked on it. And i really loved the topic I use free resources like Google colab to try code and explore.
Here's final thought, it's harsh but truth, all of us are lazy, every one of the human being, there are many resources, a lot of them free, we see them, we think ah, I will try it tomorrow, and move on to see a reel/watch a drama/prioritize some other thing like cricket and when the D-day comes (getting fired/band), we feel it's unfair my colleague got it why haven't I? I hope u got it. All the best.
If u r on bench for more than 2-6 months, depending on HR they can ask u to find project immediately, or report to RMG, or in rare cases ask you to submit resignation as it won't look good if company fires the employee.
Again, as I said its solely on HR, and their manager. As they are nothing but puppets of higher management, they are like soldiers who have no choice but to follow the order from higher ups.
