I applied for a Java Backend Developer role, but the interviewer asked me UI-related questions and rejected me. Is that fair? UI-related skills were not mentioned in the job description either. is it fair?

Same happened for me as well bro!. They mentioned Java role and then they asked me the frontend technologies. But I know React & Angular. They asked like how and where did you write in Jquery for send a Json HTTP request. What's this non-sense?
