Disappointed with gender biased treatment
Hi, I'm a F software engineer I have been working in my current org for past 5 years recently I have contributed in various independent capabilities from scratch to end.. Recently I have been noticing that my lead have been assigning my work to everyone else in the team which is alright but I'm not getting to work on the new tasks instead i am in loop of same old things. Enhancements or new integration is given to someone else for an instance I'm okay with that as well but I'm excluded from the discussions of enhancements where I can contribute and give my point of view or learn from others.. I am slowly being excluded not just this but in different capabilities.
I do not know if I'm overthinking but at least I know that initial contributor to be part of the discussions and at least being informed.
I'm losing motivation to work. There has been different instances where I'm facing this. I don't feel like communicating this with lead as part of 1 on 1
Any inputs appreciated. Thank you

Have seen lot of male colleagues facing this. It's not uncommon and definitely not gender based. Once you put out the lenses maybe you can work towards the actual issue.

Thank you for pov this helps

You need to have that 1 o 1 with lead address your concerns ma'am, make him/her aware of your thoughts and situtaion you are in this is least you should do. And still if it doesn't workout then would suggest to reachout to manager and address your concerns. Else you can just overthink about it, until it gets that much late when you can't do anything and eod you had to switch to different job or so.

Thank you

If you're not involved even after discussing with the manager, don't worry enjoy your honeymoon period again.
