Diff btw Billable and Non-Billable?
What are the differences in filling the Timesheet as Billable and non-billable hours?
How does it really mean in TCS?
PS: I’m filling TS as non-billable for 1.5 years.

There is actually no difference between billiable and non billiable if you are in project.
Basically client gives us x number of billiable associates/ budget - but for the project to run smoothly TCS keeps some buffer associates , this buffer associates feel their timesheet under non-billable.

Also you don't get your variable pay if you fill non billable hours

I have worked in the Stellantis project for more than 5 years. I have always filled my timesheet in non-billable except for a duration when there was a particular project, no variable pay cuts at all. I didn't see any difference at all. I started as ASE and then was even team lead; so I don't think there was any difference atleast in my case.

Billable hours, paisa kamane ka time. Non-billable, company ka paisa jalane ka time. TCS mein, non-billable? Bench pe baithe ho kya? Why are you not billable yet?

It hardly matters if you fill in billable or non billable as long as you are tagged on a project. I was in a project for 1 year and I filled non billable always and nothing happened. You just need to be deployed in a project. TCS PMO team handles everything on the backend.
