Did youtube just kill in video sponsorship ?

YouTube's new "jump ahead" feature suggests skipping segments that many viewers have already bypassed, which often includes in-video sponsorships. From a company perspective, this could make in-video YouTube sponsorships nearly useless and highly affect creator revenue. Is this a good move for YouTube, or will it damage the platform's ecosystem?
