Did you know TCS fully runs on excel sheets, most of the Ux applications are homegrown and barely upgraded.
Even the project managers do not have basic ease, many operational item often needs intervention from PMO. A tech organization that does not invest in Tech for itself.

It’s not like they cannot but it’s like it’s going on and it’ll be going on

Some apps critical to resource onboarding and requirements tracking are unchanged for 5+ years

You dont understand. Your idea of "values" and "critical" is not the same as how tcs leadership sees it.
Consider tcs as an old man who is satisfied with an old mobile instead of upgrading it to latest model.

They dont see any monetary value in doing that. Every company does cost benefit analysis before they spend money.
They dont see any. So they dont bother to upgrade the tech.

But if the organisation doesn't see value in upgrading, indirectly it shows that they do not have a strong future outlook.

You and i can come up with opinions like this. But that doesnt affect them. None of this matters to them. They will continue to run the business.

Even the global helpdesk application is fully homegrown, so they are saving millions by not spending on Service-Now/Jira. Where is all this cash going ? Is being part of conglomerate our biggest curse ? Is TCS paying for Tata tag on IPL ? I don't hate the organisation but the behaviour is hard to understand.

There is something called "cash on hand" as a metric for a company. I think tcs has 5 or 6 billion $. Thats where all the money goes.
