Did you guys have Scholastic book fair at school?

Those things needed your family to have disposable income, I wouldn't even buy them today let alone then.

Though i remeber buying a couple of books, something i wanted out of peer pressure, nber realky interested in. Thinking back I'm surprised mom dad even let me live like that

My school conducted it every year. We couldn't afford it but I begged my mom to buy me just once. I bought a story book and was happily taking it back home to show it to her but someone from my school van stole it on my way home. I didn't even open the package and see the book. Learned about the world that day.

Yes and in my school in library period they used to distribute that glittery pamphlets of that fair to intrigue students so much so that they end up buying on the day of the book fair.

I used to go there every year and even bought some books just for the sake of buying, some are brand new till this date. But tbh the aura there used to be awesome.
