Did I get scammed?

I purchased a Samsung washing machine. The installation was free. But the installer added a hard water softener for 1800. I thought maybe it’s the norm in Bangalore as I’m aware of the water situation. He also gave 6 packets of tank cleaners that are meant to be used every 30 washes. Did I end up with a bunch of unnecessary overpriced things? My gut feeling says so. I asked him for invoice he says he’ll send it by EOD

There are wasting machines from Bosch, ifb which have water softener. But still they sell for them. This whole thing seems like a fraud to me.

Some machines may need it though

You might be able to save 500-600 if you bought online

But this is the new normal for treating water

Sooner, we all will have air purifiers too 😅

The cost of 6 packets of tank cleaners is 1200. So I paid 3000 on top of my washing machine ☹️
