Did I end up digging my own grave?
One of the stakeholders from the client side I'm currently working with is an absolutely pain in the butt. Their requirements are not clear but they end up forcing me to do things as they say. The mistake I made was, I didn't send MoMs after the meetings mentioned the gaps in the stakeholder's requirements and expectations.
I had to raise the issue with a senior from the client's side stating that there is constant interference from the stakeholder WRT to certain deliverables and I'm being forced to deviate from the guidelines set up by the client's side.
The senior had recorded the statement and also mentioned that it will be considered and directed me to send MoMs after every call.
I recently found out that my work is mediocre and there's a lot of refinement requirement from my own side. Though the stakeholder didn't provide the requirements clearly, I didn't ask the right questions to the stakeholders and didn't address the missing requirements.
I ended up pointing my finger to a stakeholder from the client's side when my own work is in shambles.
O the sale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least and 10 being the highest, how screwed am I?

Gather every thing to make sure mistake is not on your side. But don't dwell on it too much, at the end of the day you are just a disposable contractor

I understand. The inly thing that worries me is if I'm on bench, I will be put in PIP . Appraisals are pretty crucial for me for this year.

In that scenario try to make the best case for yourself. Be polite and honest in all conversations with client and manager. Rest pray to God.

This is something every professional experiences at some point, don't take it very seriously whether the project gets successful or failure your pay will remain same.

It happens , try to improve from your end .. Nothing to worry about it

Naming and shaming is quite common, when we are on wrong side accept the mistake soon... that's gentleman's game... Perfection is very toxic by nature harms you mentally... Those big saying and words like learn from your mistake is true
