Did Groww just created Demat Account while registering with KYC for first time users??

I just installed the Groww app for investing in Mutual fund purposes because I've heard that Groww won't ask to create Demate account for mutual fund investment. And while registering it asked for multiple KYC documents. So it means it is a Demat Account? Coz it didn't ask me or mentioned anywhere about that. If it's a Demat Account then I want to delete and deactivate my account how can I do that?

Any guidance or suggestions from experienced people?? Help me on that
