DevOps vs Data Engineer?

Hi Folks,

I am currently working in a devops domain from last 3.5 years, I recently got an offer from another company at 120% hike and they hired me for Data engineering/Data Science work(although I am ready for this challenge).

Idk whether I made the right choice or not.. Just wanted to get some guidance on that.

I am completely exhausted in the DevOps domain.. The endless tools and never ending issues gives me a headache...

Considering the agentic AI and automation, I feel DevOps domain can be vanished or saturated in future.

Please let me know your thoughts.
