Badly need to switch.
In 1.5 years that I've been at this company and 9months as FTE, I've learned everything that is there for my job role. So much so that I can single handedly keep the DevOps roles running. I'm teaching DevOps to people with 3x 4x more years of exp than me.
Not getting time to learn something new for myself, due to repetitive tasks and unskilled team members who rely on me and not take any initiatives.
Here's what I'm keen to know from grapevine:
- Where do I switch? - Say your company name if you have vacant devops roles.
- What is needed for the switch? - What should a person know to be hired for DevOps at your firm? Who would you hire?
- What to expect in pay? If you had switched at my exp level what increment you got and how?
- A realistic switch approach. - Did u open linkedin and apply daily? Did you message 10 people daily. What firms you contacted, etc.
