Designers, what do you think about this design task?
I had applied for a full time visual designer role and got selected in the second round and got this as the task. What do you think?

Make sure you make assumptions in your solution and state those assumptions upfront. Saying this since they have not added any details on the users context.

Very good! Use principles, highlight those,
tell a story and articulate each and every design decision.
I thought of trying it that, this.
Tell a story, empathise.
Make a presentation

It's good.

Quick update: I requested them if I can showcase a different project which had a similar design task and the HR agreed upon it. After submission, the HR is now saying that I have to work on the design task and it's the process they have to follow, you can't work on a different task/problem statement, you have to work on this so that we can evaluate your work properly. I feel something isn't right here. I have already worked on 3 assignments this month and didn't hear back from any of them, not even a rejection, after working on their live product. I have a strong feeling they want to brainstorm ideas for their clients' products and don't wish to hire anybody in the first place. I might be wrong here, just want to know what you think.
