3 YOE with 12 LPA
Is this a good salary for a visual designer or am I underpaid, I want to check with fellow folks as Indian companies dont want to pay graphic/visuals designers much and think they can do it in canva
I know someone who started with small projects but worked for an agency where she got to work with big brands like LinkedIn, Meta, etc. Now, she's VP design at a series B SaaS startup and making 90LPA! It's possible to make money in design, but it takes time, patience and working on the right projects and with the right brands. We have to be strategic while taking on new jobs though and plan well ahead!
What would say is her total work experience?
UX design seems quite hot these days.

I have 1 year of experience in product design (UI/UX) and getting approx 6.5 LPA. Completed my graduation last year in Journalism then switched to design. Is the salary ideal or can I expect better salary now?
Now it's becoming a rare opportunity in comparison to the developer's starting salary.
Developer getting 2x amount and sometimes 3x the amount what designers are getting.
So people who are coming to design industry from developer side ...
