
Depressed What actually helped you?
I wanna understand from people who are depressed what helped them to overcome from it? I am feeling depressed and not keeping well emotionally so just wanted some help! please don’t recommend medication or therapy it won’t help I am not open for it!

Weight training, b12 and vit d rich foods, sit under the sun if in North India for winters and have lots of protein

I used to be a Gym Goer but that elevates my anger manifolds and I become a complete maniac used to vent out on people like anything so in short Yes that does the trick but it just puts a lid on an underlying problem!

Might be true in some manner but that's what helped me. That's my experience. It really helped me with the insomnia struggles

Get a distraction. That helps till you find better means. Talking is another way but confiding someone whom you’d be able to trust is difficult. It might appear like a rabbit hole but it is only a phase. Please talk to your family as they are your best pillars.

I also thought I was depressed
then after some soul searching....
I realised I am not depressed just poor and lonely.
So....
I'm still sad but now I know why I am sad.

Go and workout, focus on the upcoming fight. Rooting for you
Visiting a psychiatrist and getting prescription of anti-depressant medication. That's what helped the most in my case.

If you're not open to therapy today - speak heart to heart with a close friend.
If it was me - I'd just hang out with my friends and uplift myself - for a short term.
But definitely plan on seeking therapy. It helps in the long term. Your sessions can be customised to meet your expectations out of therapy.

Exercising (cardio or weights). Good sunlight exposure. Positive self talk. Positive music. Focusing on sleep. Meditating in later stages when things stabilised a bit.

How are you guys motivating yourself to get off the bed? My room is a mess and looks the same for last week

Start with identifying the causes of depression . After that work on those one by one .
