Hot Air (Typically from Hair Dryers or Styling Tools)
-
Drying: Hot air is used to dry hair after washing. It helps evaporate the moisture in the hair, making it dry faster.
-
Hair Styling: Hot air is used in conjunction with round brushes, curlers, and straighteners to shape hair. The heat helps to set the style by altering the hair's natural texture.
-
Setting Curls: When using a curling iron or a blow-dry technique with a round brush, hot air helps form and hold curls or waves.
-
Smoothness: Hot air can help smooth out frizz and make hair appear shinier, especially when using smoothing serums or sprays.
Cold Air (Often from Cool Shot Function on Hair Dryers)
-
Setting Styles: After using hot air to style the hair, cold air is often used to set the style. This helps the hair cool down quickly, locking the shape in place.
-
Shine and Smoothness: Cold air can seal the hair cuticle, helping the hair look shinier and smoother. This is particularly useful after straightening or curling the hair.
-
Scalp Comfort: Cold air can also provide a soothing effect on the scalp, especially during a blowout or after a hair treatment.
-
Reducing Heat Damage: By finishing with cold air, you can help minimize the risk of heat damage, as it allows the hair to cool more gradually.

😒 I have hair styling tools. I know this
