Deloitte vs TCS vs MUFG – Need advice (Data Engineer, 4+ YOE, Pune)

Hi all,

I’m currently working at Deloitte as a Data Engineer with ~4 years 2 months of experience (Snowflake/AWS/ETL), and I’m evaluating my next move.

Current: • CTC: ₹11.6 LPA (mostly fixed + standard benefits) • Role: Consultant

Offers in hand:

1. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) • CTC: ₹22 LPA • Fixed: ~₹17–18 LPA • Variable/Bonus: ~₹3–4 LPA • Role: IT Analyst (C2) • Location: Pune

2. Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) • CTC: ~₹24 LPA (expected range) • Fixed: Majority component • Variable: Performance-based • Role: Team Leader – Data Platform Engineer • Location: Pune

My Confusion: • TCS → stability + brand, but similar IC role • MUFG → early leadership + banking domain, but unsure about WLB & expectations

My Goal: • Grow in Data Engineering (Snowflake/AWS) • Move towards Lead/Architect roles • Focus on long-term growth over short-term comfort

Looking for advice on: 1. TCS vs MUFG – which is better long-term? 2. MUFG Pune work culture & WLB? 3. Is Team Lead role too early at 4 YOE? 4. Which option gives better exit opportunities?
