Deloitte USI salary discussion

Need quick suggestion.

Currently working in PwC in SAP S4 HANA MM role.

Total exp - 5.3 years Cureent fixed - 11.5 lacs per annum

Deloitte USI HR called pre interview and said the max they can offer is 17 fixed. Because 18+ is SCON range for salary.

Is it true ? Is there no room for negotiation?

I think 17 fixed is a bit less for 5.3 years ..

My friend got 19 fixed for 4 year experience - SAP BTP Integration skillset

He was not getting more than 16-17 fixed but then with help of counter offers from other MNC'S the HR agreed to give 19 fixed.
22 LPA including variable.

Just 4 YOE.

His earlier salary was just 8 LPA. Since No hikes at all in last 2 years in Accenture.

Yea although BTP is a niche skill set. But yea i would need counter offers .
