Delivery partner vs Client Partner
Question from a new joiner... I have a situation .. As a lead I'm stuck between the delivery partner vs Client partner war.. They both want me to act as per their suggestions which are completely opposite to each other.. My query is whose suggestion should I accept? Who is having more control on project.. And as per ideal condition who should dictate whom?? I'm at offshore and client partner has promised me onsite hence don't want to take sides.. Please suggest
Delivery Partner since, Appraisal, Project Release, leaves handled by him
Usually both are on the same page and are mostly peers and of more or less same exp or have worked together in the past. It is highly unlikely that both will have a difference of opinion.Even if it is you should go by what your delivery partner says and not client partner. I believe your or your managers reporting is to delievery partner and not client partner.
Talk to them both. and get final confirmation on even small things on email only.. For your safety ..

Don't follow both of them and go as per your experience and a proper way, in such a way that No one question you at a later point of time.
Now seeing this, if both agreed - well and Good. Mostly, they will not agree, So happily you can come out and Search for good Project with Good Managers.
Somewhere you may get a good work space.
