One upside is that it has the potential to attract more foreign investment since the falling rupee makes the dollar investments cheaper. This can help boost exports ( probably in volume rather than value ).
But the net impact from the Indian perspective is mostly negative I think primarily because of expensive imports such as oil among other things.
