
Declining kindness quotient
With the rising awareness of importance of being kind and more kindness centered content and products on a rise, overall kindness quotient (KQ) seems to be declining.
While this may seem like a demand supply thing and hence more content and products for kindness, world would be better off with being kind rather than telling how kind they are.
In the last year, I experienced many such incidents where people were less grateful, less kind and less helpful to those in need.
We act kind only when the cameras are on or there is a reward for it, not to be kind.
While sharing on social should help encourage more people be kind, but the fame that came with the appreciation for being kind, made more people run for the fame rather than kindness itself.
I wish things change, i wish we are kind even if no one is watching or will ever get to know. We are kind to be kind and not for a reward. Because we don't realise the reward is there, it's a greater one when the eco system is kind and will pay in the most unexpected way.
