Trending @Accenture; December promotion still there?
Is December promotion cycle still there or going forward it's just june cycle for atci
For this year it will be June and December both. From next year onwards it will be June only. This is the reason for less hike for those who might get promoted in December.
They said it every time that next time it will happen
Yeah, that happens. I dig very deep for the reasons for this in last few months.
- This happens because sometimes they don’t get enough slots from leadership.
- Sometime they give priority to few things in the system for e.g. may be someone has more experience than you, doesn’t matter he has contributed less but his case might be strong.
- Sometime both of you have same experience but his experience in Accenture is more than you.
- Sometime they have better college. Tier-1. May be less contribution bit for leadership the alumni matters in the practice.
- Sometime he is more active on community parties and this helps him in catching leader’s attention. So a known name gets picked up easily when there are multiple profile sent for promotions.
- Sometime his competencies too p3 p4
- Sometime to retain someone on notice period.
So this becomes unfair for some deserving candidates, but try pitting yourself in their place and if you really want stability then talk to them and give them all the required ammunition to push for your case and have some patience.
