Dealing with a start performer manager

I have been in this team for 3 years. Our manager was okayish only and there were some gaps that stakeholders felt. But we were assured that our individual contribution was fine . Now around 9 months back, my manager was moved out and a new person came in as manager. She is a star performer , comes with relevant experience, eager to learn, excellent communication skills. Basically the best skill set. It didn't take her time to make her mark in the team and with our stakeholders. All stakeholders depend on her for things small and big.And she's ever ready to take up any piece of work - big or small. She is basically the dream team member the stakeholders could have asked for , who gets quality work done, who has great tech and soft skills. Here is where my problems begin. I feel constantly in her shadows, I feel I don't have autonomy in my work. And most importantly it seems like I am competing with another team member whereas she's my manager. I know she's better than me, she is also more experienced than me. I am currently at a loss on what to do. I feel I am losing my autonomy at work and being overshadowed by my own manager. I am worried this can also affect my confidence in the long run. Please advise.

Totally get this — been in a similar spot. It’s hard when a super-capable manager comes in and unintentionally overshadows you. You start questioning your value, even when you’ve been doing solid work. Maybe focus on what you bring to the table — your context, relationships, and consistency. And if it keeps bothering you, a candid chat might help. You’re not alone in feeling this way
