Geographically concentrated opportunities
Lack of education (on certain topics)
Broken or outdated social expectations
Falling attention spans and distorted social views
Jobs are either hyper competitive or completely dreaded (google developer vs oil rig engineer)
"Survival with dignity" is a task in itself, Those that manage to do that can't clear the "expected" requirements, Those that can clear the requirements don't know what to do after that (committing to and carrying relations) Those that know are truly the top 5% of the pyramid as they say,
"सर्व गुण सम्पन्न"
But they are so small in number that the entire construct is falling behind them and it is really hard for one pool topper to meet another due to time constraints and limited social interactions.
Hence, why bother dating.
In my opinion, Men are Desperate to date. (Or marry in Indian context) We have a genuine issue of men sliding into dms of women.
