Yes, they work, but don't depend on just one app, otherwise you will have to wait for long time between getting matches.
Install at least 4-5 apps, such as Bumble, Tinder, Happn, Badoo, Hinge, OkCupid etc. and be simultaneously active on all of them, to be able to get regular amount of matches within a reasonable time period. Good luck! 👍
