Data science is becoming a total joke

I’m seriously starting to think data science is just becoming a fad. Everyone and their mother is calling themselves a data scientist now, but most have zero real skills. I see so many people with fancy certifications but they can't even write a basic SQL query! It’s frustrating to see the field getting diluted.
