Data Engineer to SDE

I want to make a switch from data engineer to SDE role. My current tech stacks are: Python PL/SQL ODI

And also have experience in pyspark and cloud technology.

Please guide me how to make a transition for the same. Is it so difficult to make? I have good programming skill in C++, Java and better understanding of OOPs.

Currently working on a personal java backend project to learn spring Boot.

But why you want to switch from DE to Sde? Sde People looking to become DE n u r switching to Sde, any specific reason?

Here this role requires minimum development work, low coding and feels like career growth is stuck (This is my opinion from what I have seen here) I want some development work
