Dark side of IT sector

Hello everyone,

I have just completed two years at my full-time job with the same company. I was initially hired under a different manager, and since then, I’ve had three different managers. I’ve taken on every task assigned to me without hesitation, consistently working hard and giving 100%.

However, the expectations from upper management keep increasing, and they’re starting to feel unrealistic. I’ve repeatedly suggested hiring additional help, as there are only two developers on the team, but my requests have been declined.

Even when I’m on sick leave, I still receive calls from my senior regarding work.

I feel like I’m being taken for granted.

One option is to switch jobs, but I get very little time outside of work to prepare. I’m now considering resigning and using my notice period to prepare for new opportunities. The notice period is two months. Please suggest what I should do - I am feeling low

If you believe 2 months is sufficient to land a new role, do resign, maybe the resignation will trigger better work life for you
