Daily Horrors at Work
Working in TCS Kolkata and really looking for a job change. Current scenario is terrible at work . BFSI not paying the full variable allowance for over 2 years. Salary hikes much lower than industry standard. Terrible atmosphere at office where people are trying to put blame on others . Whoever goes for tea with manager is supposedly most important resource in the project. BaNCS product platform is the worst example of product yet company is forcing us to work on it. Manager refuses to release from project even after multiple request. 5 days mandatory attendance at office is expected with threats of deduction from salary in case of less attendance No timings maintained.People are calling at night and expecting to get work done at the spot.So people are expected to work both at office and home which is taking a toll on personal life. Leaves are not getting granted for no reason. Promotion pending for over 2 years with no ETA from manager.

In every TCS, this is the same story. I am also soon going to resign, really fed up with there false promises towards my promotion. When asked for the promotions, I simply get answers like "you work, will see what we can do for you." Begger kind of feeling literally." They sometimes asks how many follow-ups I have taken to get promoted." There is no visibility, çlearity..your work is not visible at all..how can we promote you. So, I have decided to move on.
You can take sick leave monthly once.. you can inform them on the same day.
