You should report this to the nearest police station I put an Airtag on my bicycle and bike for this reason

I have done that too. How did you place the air tag in the cycle? Does that needs to be charged. I am feeling really bad. Its not about money. But i had that cycle for the past 8 years and it was important to me and feeling helpless here
