Not to offend you in any way, but I don't think IAM should be tagged under cybersecurity.

Let me guess, iam usually means onboarding users and hosts and assign them some predefined policies in the iam tool. And sometimes trouble shooting access issues.

It is more of a administration work, just not in a active directory.

Most folks I know working in iam don't even know iam is used for auditing, they only assume it is for authenticaton. Even the rest who are aware of this, think cyber security mean AAA.

There is much much more to cybersecurity and hence salaries can vary when compared with soc, malware analysts, and other core domains
