Custom PC build costing 6L

Going for a custom pc build from Hyderabad based theMVP. The cost they have quoted excluding peripherals is 6Lakh. Is it correct price? It includes components plus service and support.

Zotac 5090 can be bought for 3L ish Ryzen 9700x ≈ 30k (it's better than 7900x) Asus/Msi X870 motherboard ≈ 25k Gskill 64gb ddr5 ≈ 60k (bonkers right now) Samsung 2tb nvme gen5 ≈ 30k 1200w psu ≈ 15k 360mm aio ≈ 10k ATX case ≈ 10k Thermal paste <1k

These are broad current market rates of better or same components.

IMO you should visit shops that sell components and inquire prices when buying cpu+gpu+mobo from 1 place they'll assemble it for you in nominal build fees <5k.

Buying from system integrator is waste of money imo, Claimed support is practically non significant, in case of faculty items I've rma'd cpu with amd, gpu with msi over the emails we ship faulty item they ship back repair/replacement. Any reputable shop will help with this.

Thanks will try offline definitely

Given the spec it's justified, here GPU will take a major share of 3-4 lakhs

I will suggest you a different pov, feel free to differ if you want to.
Firstly set your budget, and share with people if you seek genuine advice. Mentioning this since this post is about price and nowhere I see compatibility queries.
Secondly, knowing that you want to future proof your build, it is a counter intuitive approach. PC building has been modular by nature and it is done this way so that you can upgrade optimally. This is where it differs from purchasing a car. At max, you future proof for expansion like more slots for storage, peripherals etc.
AMD is committing support for AM5 processors till 2027. This indicates AM6 coming out in 2028, which in most likelihood will render your motherboard unfit for upgrades beyond that. By 2030, you will be 3 gen cpu behind. There is no future proofing happening for you.

As for gaming requirement, 7800x3d is clearly better than 7900x (although even this higher processor gives minimal gains unless you play competitive) 64gb RAM is an overkill. 32GB ddr5 is sufficient and can be swapped 5 years down the line if the game configs ask for more.
Storage is clearly low for gaming. Have 2 nvme for gaming and SSD for other storage. Your cabinet is not the best for cooling and for maxxing games, you don't have enough fans. Liquid cooling is not magic and for this cpu it looks cooler more than it runs cooler, high end air coolers are more effective. Assuming you will overclock it.
I would love to see your monitor choice, considering you are going for 5090. No point of this build if you run anything less than 4K 160Hz + 2k 360Hz with it.
Your power supply and your monitor should never be skimped upon, they determine what you enjoy and how long you can enjoy it. I hope you benefit from these suggestions.

Thanks for the detailed response, will consider your each point. I will be making some changes now. The monitor I am considering is samsung m9

Would really suggest to go for DIY, because that’s the skill you would enjoy most rather finding time to Game.

Individual components cost less too if you look around:

  1. https://pcpartpicker.com/ Good for comparison of builds (What components are best compatible, you would be surprised how different brands can sometimes be combined for best performance)
  2. https://www.pcpricetracker.in/ Part prices to compare

If you specify some goals with PC you will get much better suggestions, like I am pretty sure 5090 is absolutely overkill unless you’re building AI agents. For reference I have 4070 Ti and it still gives 100+ FPS in most games at 4K

Firstly, it would have been better if you have us the breakdown of the 6 lakhs, which components cost how much. Then only i/anyone can provide the right insight, just so you know the components you mentioned is definitely on the high end, but no matter the cost even if they are buying legitimate, it seems they are charging quite more, either through service charge, whatever additional charges, that's just my speculation as I don't know the breakdown of 6 lakhs.

They don't quote price component wise actually they assemble the whole PC and charge that

I made my custom pc at home in chennai last year around same time. I went with computech store. Its in Thane though, not in Hyderabad, but it has online store and the call support, components catalog, delivery time, everything was pretty good. The guy was transparent about pricing and availability and delivered in time as expected. Avoid amazon/flipkart at all costs, i was also scammed on these (ordered 9800x3d, received some cheap ass intel cpu) and that's why i searched such direct retailers.

I dont know how TheMVP delivers custom pc, in my case i ordered separate components and the computech guy used multiple courier services. Bluedart was pain in the ass as always, others were on time (4-5 days) and packaged properly. Do compare prices of the components on themvp and other stores (computech, etc) and see their reviews as well.

All the best. Enjoy building it🙌
