Custom Duty on Whoop fitness Band

Recently I have ordered a whoop fitness band through there official site.

Now, the customs officer from Delhi called be asking for a Custom Duty to be paid which is equal to 50% value of the device value.

Can someone help me here that do I have to pay that amount or the company has to pay that Because at the time of checkout of payment they didn’t said anything about the custom duty.
