So according to stats roughly 15~20% people are in bench.
From my understanding
Check the demand chart sent over email every week and see the demand for your own technology, if there is good demand ( by good i mean demand in double or triple digits, projects looking for that technology )
Then its kinda safe you can stay roughly 2~3 months or even higher if you are lower lv like 10~12
But a general advice to all who are in bench is
This is the perfect opportunity ladies and gentleman
All the job opening currently outside in market is only looking for immediate joiner upto max 30days.
Its the perfect opportunity for you , in bench you can negotiate and get a release in 30days provided you have roughly 22 days of earned leaves and you can negotiate 2months to one month by balancing with the earned leaves. Others in project can never get a release in 30days only you can.
So apply aggressively outside, its better to switch now than to wait here eternally.
