CTC discussion help

Hi All,

I am interviewing for a company for technical product manager role. I have 8+ years of experience and it’s more of a senior role and first hire in India.

Their initial budget was 28-35lpa but after reconsideration and initial interview, they came up to 40lpa . That’s the max they could do. In this 39 fixed + 1 variable.

Initially they said it’s going to be wfh and I need to go to office like when there are deployments are meet-ups. Now, they mentioned that sometimes I will have to work in the second shift that can be wfh and remaining days wfo in the day shift. The previous round lead engineer told me no work life balance.

My previous pay was 37lpa but everything was fixed since it’s a US startup and my in hand was 3,00,000 lakh per month and taxes used to be handled.

What are your thoughts as fellow pm?
