CTC check: 10LPA - APM - 1 YOE
I have been working as an APM at a series C startup for the last 1 year. I did my MBA from a tier 1 college. Worked as a full stack developer for 2 years before that.
Am I underpaid? What would be a fair market compensation.
Should I try getting another PM job in a different company or switch back to being a dev. ( Not liking PM that much, the dev role was a better experience.)
One interview, 1000+ job opportunities
Take a 10-min AI interview to qualify for numerous real jobs auto-matched to your profile 🔑
Ohh. Dear bro, your profile is far far better than so many shitty product managers. No experience dudes are earning 20lpa, total frauds calling themselves product managers. Check some posts here itself. You better get out there and demand a good package.

No experience = Fraud + Shitty PM :0 Why do you think firms are willing to spend 20lpa on somebody who isn't bringing any value to the table? Charity?

People pay for brands in such cases. It’s the optimistic thought “XYZ college students are geniuses” lmao.
No name college and no experience would never get 20LPA. They shouldn’t even be hired as PMs if they don’t have experience in any domain.

Tier 1 MBA 10LPA ?

Joined MBA during 2020. Didn't get proper shortlists in summer internship interviews. Had to settle for a startup to do a summer internship.
Was offered a PPO for 18 LPA. Made to sit out of final placements. Sadly, the startup revoked my offer a week before joining.
Panicked and accepted the first offer I received from off-campus.
TragiComical in hindsight 😂😂
a lot of poor decisions from my side too.

I think you should start applying to more companies, your tier-1 MBA tag will definitely help in landing some interviews. Because your current CTC is below industry standards for someone who has 3 years of work ex and a Tier-1 MBA

If you have a coding experience and now transitioned to pm role that too with a tier 1 mba. Yes it's a good time to switch if salary is the only concern.
