Trending @Cognizant; Crossing tye line of insanity, hate myself, need a release from the project

Hey folks,

I have messed up real bad over the past 6 months. This was my first project, and I undertook it in huge over confidence and ego. I have caused damage to the team reputation and to the client monetarily (which is yet to be discovered, because I have hidden it)

I want to start afresh - in decreasing order of preference

  1. New project
  2. New company
  3. Non IT Job
  4. Go back to school

Want to focus on Plan 1 for now, how can I ask for release from the project?

I joined cognizant in December last year, the current project in October.

tell me more about blunder, I wont tell anyone 😏. Anyway best way to deal with this tell your lead that you have seen some issue in prod or whatever you are working with which needs to fixed, don't really have to tell them you did it.

Haven't done it, was suppose to test it. Tested it wrong. It may or may not break in prod (It would by Murphy's law, and stakes are very high)

Anyways, I am not performing my job well. I have explored myself internally and have come to realize that I am just a misfit. I am not 'unable' to do it, I am not doing my job because I don't want to do it.

What I have done comes from the same sentiment, and I will continue to do it if I am made to stay any longer.

As for my mistakes from the past, prod will speak for itself ans things will escalate very soon (say next week)
