CRED drops scam or legit?

Last month some user got a win out of cred drops but cred didn't process saying it was a glitch and also happened with some 200 more users.

The point to ponder is that none of these other 200 people had any comments on LinkedIn or protested this.

So are the drops legit or just a gimmick. I am fine even if there is a 0.0001% chance of winning the prize.
