CRED app is highly overrated

If not, you deserve a ton of Cred coins. Sorry for people working in Cred. I have no offense on you.

I used to think cred was targeting the top 5% of high income Indian users but reading the comments here it seems cred app users are using it for 3-5 rs chiller cashback…. Idk what’s happening

You are totally ignoring Indian mindset 😝

I use it because I can pay all my credit cards from one app. It's convenient and I get ₹3-10 cashback after bill payment after playing the jackpot.

Apart from that there's nothing else useful.

Yes, that’s a good use case. But I don’t see this as its USP. Not sure why it’s so popular. Think they did a good job in staying relevant by roping in celebrities, ad spend in IPL, etc to improve its take-rate.

  1. Why do people have multiple credit cards in the first place. I barely use one
  2. What difference does 5-10 rs make in your life

Cred is convenient to pay credit card bills. Everything else is meh I wanted to get rid of Cred, so used PhonePe and the experience was awful. Took a long time for the payment to go through and the notifications were unhelpful. Now back to using Cred for CC payments

Yeah phone PE has become horrible these days...takes for ever for a payment to complete....would use G-Pay any day over Phone pe

It’s just a glorified credit card reminder app, now one might say ‘lending is what their business is’ but but but why TF would I pay 14% interest with high credit score

JumpyPancake

where would you get unsecured loan less than that interest? p.s. just curious.

I believe Cred is a good shopping app for shopaholics. I’ve spent ~50k till date on it. I’ve been a user since 2years and I’ve spent money on chips, sweets, muesli, tea and other healthy items, such as millet batters, etc. I like shopping for good D2C brands from this store and I believe that’s their cash-cow. A marketplace which 90% junta eye for but it basically sells expensive stuff at 20-50% discount after hyping up the price by 2x 😆.

But I do agree, Cred coins are shit, I’ve got ~8L Cred coins, not useful for anything, lol. 🤣

Stupid app 😂. They are trying to attract users based on a cheap gimmicky UI.

As long as they are not charging some kind of fee to process credit card payments, I will be using them.
I have three credit cards and it will be a hassle to open 3 different apps to pay them individually.
