Tbh both platforms are useless, I prefer codecademy and educative.io over everything else as they have more interactive and hands on practices
Well Coursera offers University level courses which helps you with credits as well. So I think it takes one in that regard.
"Both platforms are useless" 🤣 - bro, I've been running my career for last 10 years, including job switches, hikes, and promotions, all using knowledge I learned and certs I got from Coursera & Udemy.
And even while shortlisting candidates and interviewing them, I and most senior engineers and managers give credence to candidates for evidence of their learning on those two platforms.
I have tried Educative & Codecademy too, and they have a more text based pedagogical style, for those who prefer that instead of videos.
But Coursera and Udemy are quite the opposite of "useless", and certs from them hold far more weight in the industry, compared to Educative & Codecademy which are treated more as toy / starter learning platforms for beginners
