Course on Statistics

Hi guys, I am into wholesale banking and my last tryst with statistics was during my MBA. It would be really great if some one can guide me as to where should I start again. My area of interest is Risk and Portfolio Management.

I am really stuck. Genuine advise needed.

Thanks

Are you looking to switch from wholesale banking to Risk & portfolio management? If yes, you should register for FRM level 1 if not already. It gives you edge among other pool of candidates. Start with the free material of FRM available on web. It will give you the right context for learning concepts which involves fair amount of stats.

Studying statistics alone would not help.

I am in wholesale banking. What is have been doing is balance sheet underwriting. I want to pivot now to risk modelling. FRM is extensive and shall require time. Also for the roles I am looking for FRM will not be instrumental

What roles are you looking for in Risk?

You seem to get bored from underwriting which is usually the case as the process is monotonous. If you want to learn statistics intuitively, I would recommend Josh Starmer's StatQuest on YT
