Corporate salary fairness

https://m.economictimes.com/markets/expert-view/corporates-claim-employees-are-their-greatest-asset-but-dont-treat-them-fair-must-pay-bottom-60-staff-better-mohandas-pai/articleshow/116460805.cms

Why are there so few people from the corporate world who understand how unfair and inappropriate the compensation growth is? While the article is about Mohandas Pai's views on stagnant entry level salaries, it's more important to also recognize the stagnant growth in mid-level employee salaries, otherwise where is the career growth for freshers who will eventually be mid-level people. The minimum a corporate hike should Target is a number that beats present year inflation.

There is dire need for government policy and regulation of corporates in this regard, otherwise the exploitation will continue. Cuts in tax sops, recruitment limits whatever is necessary to reprimand corporates that don't beat inflation with their hikes, and reward corporates that do so. Without this they will follow the easiest way to grow, hire more pay less, the definition of exploitation. In turn this should also benefit per capita income and incentivise real growth policies which will tremendously benefit the country.
