Corporate friendship

Corporate friendships are weird.

One day you are casually talking, sharing office air, inside jokes, silent crushes.

Next day someone casually says, “Oh, she resigned. She is serving her notice period.”

No goodbye. No last coffee. No closure.

From next week I am going WFH.

I will be back after a month. She will be gone.

Work teaches you this strange lesson again and again: People leave faster than you realize, and feelings do not get notice periods.

You think you have time. Turns out, you mostly have assumptions.

I know people who have been very close to me pushed me away when I was of no use. They have used me for money and to get help in their work and the moment I was no longer needed they pushed me away. I have stopped trusting people at work.

Unrelated, but dude, you guys really need to fix the iMobile app. For the life of me I can't register my phone in the app's initial setup. Customer support is totally unhelpful, only ever asks me to uninstall & reinstall the app instead of even trying to figure out the issue.

And 230 MB, really? Does a banking app need to be this bloated? It also loads like a tortoise...

Ranting because I couldn't help it, don't take it personally :/

It depends on you as well, on whether you want to stay in touch with them. I am still in touch with a few people from my previous company,
when I am near to my previous company, I will be sure to visit my previous company and I will meet them as well, they also do the same
