Corporate Bias? My Personal Experience.
I want to share a real experience from my journey at Wipro, something many people might relate to. I joined the company and got selected for a specialized technical team under CIO Org. Along with me, two other freshers joined — both were girls 👩💻👩💻.
From the first day, our team said that productivity and technical performance would decide everything.
Throughout the year, I gave my best 💯. I handled complex tasks, delivered strong productivity, and even guided both teammates whenever they needed help 🤝.
But when the time came for permanent positions, both the girls were made permanent before me. Even though my technical work and productivity were stronger, I was told: “No vacancies available.” A few days later, the team hired two completely new people—who barely had any knowledge 🧱🤷♂️. This made me feel that maybe some bias was involved. I’m not directly blaming anyone, but as someone who worked sincerely and supported others, it felt unfair and disappointing 😔.
It’s emotionally exhausting when your hard work doesn’t get the opportunity it deserves. I’m sharing this because many experience similar situations silently.
If anyone has faced something like this or has advice on handling workplace bias, I’d truly appreciate your thoughts 🙏.

Maybe you don't know but those two girls worked slightly better than you.

no bro, as i am in L1 ok, and from L2 team everyone were expecting me to get permanent and as per record it clearly shows i have more count on productivity status with zero escalation

Okay, maybe they performed better. I can accept that. But what about the two new guys? Both of them have no knowledge of my domain, yet they were given a chance to become permanent. I also got to know that one of them has a connection with one of my team leads. Is this fair?

Outside there is much better opportunity that's why you did not got selected - God have some different plan for you - don't feel sad for Service based organizations they are good for nothing.

It's not just about the work you deliver. There are thousands of other variables as well.
Maybe the other two girls were better at networking more than you.
You might not have been visible to the leadership. And the fact that your team hired 2 new employees clearly indicates that they don't see you as a permanent employee with them. It is harsh but this is what it is.

Nothing to be surprised, same grade of mine girls getting promoted due to gender equality this is what I heard from hr .. this hurts while contributing in multiple levels.. These things we have to live with it or leave org.. decide wise😎

girls have more chances of getting hired even if they are avg... trend from a few years bro @Fas_Gye_Guru do google

Working alone isn't enough. Making it visible to the right people at the right time in the right way matters. Soft skills, network and luck play a role here. Dirty politics is everywhere but that's something you need to navigate without losing sanity. Assess yourself or with the help of a mentor to identify the areas of improvement for an overall growth. Thinking that technical/functional/domain knowledge alone will get you places is a myth.

don't compete with girls
I got to know one thing in my first switch. That whatever knowledge you have never ever shared it like 100%, provide the knowledge but it has some void or gap in it. Dependency is really important.

If you are confident about your work and performance, maybe you had to pay for it because the team culture was average with the lead working with people who are dumber and can be told what to do and what not to do. This is a common thing in bigger organizations where you go from lean startups. Harsh reality and people who are more vocal, more relationship first based, who talk too much and fill the right earns getaway with all the good things. This is what happens when average people hire. All i would say is that if you find yourself as the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.
