Convert 8km distance to Bangalore Travel Time unit
I found a place to stay in Indiranagar, and my office is in Bagmane Constellation Business Park and the distance is 8km in Google Maps.
Will the commute time be too much given the fact that I can avail cab services by my company.

I commuted the opposite way. Usually it takes around 30-50 min. But given the fact that metro construction is ongoing, you will face traffic if coming via KR Puram. Kaggadaspura route is hectic if the railway crossing is busy. The fastest route used to be via HAL if coming in the evening.
Anyhow 1 hour should be max to travel in worst case if coming directly via a cab

You can check estimated time on google maps based on when you want to leave. Before 9am, between 2-4pm, and after 8pm would he relatively quicker

It can get a little tricky as the metro construction is happening right there. I used to live in Durga Rainbow (near Bagmane) and travel to Indiranagar. It would take me 35-40 mins during non-peak hours. During peak hours it can go up to 1 hour one way. If you think it’s too much, you can find good accommodation around Bagmane too, in 6 months time.
