Context of situation: I have an interview next week, but eventually who's going to take this interview is already in my LinkedIn connection, he adviced me how to apply for an open opp. in his company(unsure of he still rembr)
Should I text him before the interview.
I should not text, as I can sound desperate(reduce my interview conversion rate)
Ask his advice on what to prepare for the interview.

Yes, good idea to text upfront. Just express that you are looking forward to the discussion. If you really want to ask, you can ask if there are any specific areas/ topics he would like you to focus on during the interview

Should definitely text. Keep it subtle and friendly, you have already broken the ice - this should not be difficult
