Consulting is all about contractual Job hence more favourable towards PM, however MBA is more into Strategy and management consulting.
Big 4 : Senior Consultant > 19-24L
Big 3 : Senior Consultant > 28-38 L
PM at non-FAANG : 45-60 L / EQUITY if 25-35 L
PM at FAANG : 55-80 L / RSU/GSU 1.2Cr
Choice is yours
Had the same doubt, I think consulting pays more but the hours are really gruel 10 hours on an avg day. Pm vs sde is a choice. More jobs in sde I think and in an avg maybe more pay in sde. But the chances of being in a leadership role are higher at consulting then pm and then engg
