Considering Leaving Bengaluru ASAP?
Why many people think leaving Bengaluru might make sense today — though it depends on personal priorities:
⚙️ 1. Infrastructure Collapse
Traffic: Average commute times exceed 1.5 hours daily; road capacity hasn’t kept pace with vehicle growth.
Public transport: Metro expansion is slow and limited; buses overcrowded.
💧 2. Water Crisis
Heavy reliance on Cauvery River and depleting borewells.
Many areas get tanker water at high costs — a clear sign of unsustainable urban growth.
🏙️ 3. Overcrowding & Real Estate Costs
Rent and housing prices have skyrocketed, especially near tech corridors (Whitefield, ORR, Koramangala).
Infrastructure hasn’t expanded in proportion to population growth.
🌫️ 4. Pollution & Declining Quality of Life
Air and noise pollution among India’s worst for major cities.
Green cover shrinking; lakes drying or contaminated.
💼 5. Work-Life Imbalance
Long commutes + demanding tech jobs = burnout common.
Many startups/companies now offer remote roles — making relocation viable.
In short: Bengaluru’s growth has outpaced its capacity. Unless infrastructure, water management, and housing are drastically improved, the city risks becoming unlivable for many.

Agree with this. I already left the Bangalore 2 years ago Due to this reason only.

Please mention the city name you left for ?

Read properly, Already mentioned

I’ve lived in Bangalore for three years, and while it has its own pros and cons, the biggest downside for me was being far from home. Now that I’m 28 and past the phase of exploring clubs and bars, I’ve decided to settle in Noida, where home is just 4–5 hours away.

Mostly everyone understands the cons of Bangaluru and try to move towards the closest city to their native.

I am a localite. So can't move anywhere. 😭

You can try mysore once.

After 30 years of age staying in Bangaluru is a zero sum game for everyone with family and kids.

Where do you even stay ? That you have so many problems b
